I ordered the tomato basil cheese pizza and well worth the $4! The guy working the register suggested two other toppings which were just as good. I highly recommend you bring cash, because it’s cash only. I didn’t see much parking so plan ahead. It was a good eatery in the Hillcrest area so give it a try.

Ate here about a decade ago. Pizza was great, but the real gem was the calzone made with a cheese blend that includes ricotta. I've thought about that calzone for years. Was back in the area on a recent trip and had to have it again. Was exactly as great as I remembered it being. So good! As someone who frequently visits NYC and Chicago, it's kinda wild that my favorite calzone is in San Diego : )

Legit New York pie in Hillcrest! Most authentic I've had on the west coast. Great spot, good seating too.

The real deal! Absolutely real NYC pizza. Cash only, simple ambiance, just like New York. Two slices and a soda for $9… Can’t beat it!

Really solid pizza spot. I was a little surprised when they said they don’t sell single slices on the weekend, so I ended up getting a whole veggie pie. No regrets though — the ingredients were super fresh, the crust was fantastic, and the flavor was on point. First bite had a bit of flop, but after that it held up nicely with a good crunch. Definitely worth it.

The pizza is amazing. If I lived here, I'd go wayyyyy more often. The crust is thin and crunchy. The deals are great. The only down side is the lack of parking. We got lucky and there was an open meter.
